Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Technician to join our team. We have an opportunity for an IT Support Technician to join our IT Work Group and help support our employees’ firm-wide with technical support. This position will be located out of our Mankato location.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree and 1+ years of experience in a related computer field or 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent technical knowledge of network, software systems and PC hardware and software.
  • Hands-on hardware/software troubleshooting experience.
  • Extensive equipment support experience.
  • Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards.
  • Ability to fill multiple roles simultaneously.
  • Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.
  • Excellent technical understanding and data processing skills.
  • Excellent time management, organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective Administrative skills.
  • Effective Prioritization and Conflict Resolution skills.
  • Excellent Problem Solving Skills
  • Possess a valid drivers licenses and reliable transportation as travel to various job sites may be required.
  • Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the US at the start of employment without a need for current or future visa sponsorship

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Windows Domain Administration
  • VMware administration experience
  • Security+ or similar certification
  • Experience with virus and malware protection solutions

  • Power Platform administration experience

Responsibilities

  • Work with end users to identify and deliver required service levels.
  • Construct, install, configure, test and maintain customized configurations based on various platforms and operating systems.
  • Collaborate with support technicians and specialists to ensure efficient operation of the company’s computing environment.
  • Monitor and maintain on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective solutions, including off-site repair as needed.
  • Assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future systems needs.
  • Support implementation of new projects and new installations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware, software and equipment contracts and supervise contract-based installations.
  • If necessary, liaise with third-party support and vendors.
  • Aid in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, maintain current knowledge of plan executables, and respond to crises in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Other duties as assigned.
