About The Position

At Pattison Agriculture, we are looking for an IT Support Technician to join our fast-paced, energetic team. This role serves as the first point of contact for employee technical support and contributes to the future of agriculture by supporting existing systems and implementing new technology solutions. Requirements

  • High attention to detail, organizational skills
  • Strong information seeking, troubleshooting, communication skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion and judgement with confidential/sensitive information
  • Travel to remote store locations, provide support outside of standard business hours as needed, valid driver’s licence
  • 5+ years of relevant IT experience with technical support of Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server operating systems, Active Directory, the Office 365 suite, computer hardware/ peripherals and computer networks
  • Certifications with relevant technologies (i.e. A+, N+, MCP, MCSA, CCENT/NA) or a degree/diploma in Information Technology

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or training with IT Service Management, Cisco VoIP, SharePoint, and Meraki network equipment is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st line technical support and problem resolution in person and remotely for business systems, applications, hardware, networks, and other IT services
  • Train and educate end-users on the effective use of the technologies they use
  • Provide technical expertise in the assessment, design, and implementation of new or improved IT services
  • Facilitate onboarding requirements to new hires/existing employees
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware, software, and peripheral devices
  • Identify and prioritize incidents, problems, and changes for best resolution
  • Manage and participate in IT projects
  • Work with IT vendors and service providers
  • Build and maintain constructive relationships with all departments
  • Maintain knowledge of current technology and advancements
  • Participate in ongoing training to improve skills/knowledge
