Requirements

  • Associate degree with a major in Computer Science or MIS, or minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT Service Desk or Desktop Support role in a medium to large sized company
  • Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware and other equipment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of setting up and supporting remote users
  • Understanding and experience of customer service practices
  • Possession of MCP or A+ certification
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Customer service oriented approach
  • Ability to diagnose and provide root-cause analysis as well as post-mortem
  • Excellent attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of MCP or A+ certification
  • Experience working tickets in ServiceNow
  • Familiarity with tax applications such as CCH Axcess, Caseware, and SurePrep
  • Experience Supporting MacBooks and Jamf
  • Willingness to travel/cover multiple offices in the Los Angeles area

Responsibilities

  • Respond to technical requests in person, via phone, electronically
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Installs, configures, and troubleshoots Windows 10 laptops, network issues, mobile devices, and applications
  • Maintains passwords, data integrity, and file security for the desktop environment
  • Advise user on appropriate action
  • Follow standard service desk procedures
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Redirect problems to appropriate resource
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Track and route incidents, problems, and requests and document resolutions
  • Research questions using available information resources
  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates
