About The Position

As an IT Support Technician, you will provide essential day-to-day technical support to ensure smooth and uninterrupted business operations. You will serve as a first point of contact for technology-related issues, helping team members resolve problems efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and service. This role is ideal for an entry-level candidate who is tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. You will play a key role in maintaining systems, supporting users, and contributing to a reliable and secure IT environment.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of computer systems and troubleshooting
• Some familiarity with Windows and/or macOS operating systems
• Experience with common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, web browsers, email clients)
• Strong communication skills and ability to assist users with varying levels of technical knowledge
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Reliable transportation and ability to work on-site in Lynchburg, VA

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in IT support, help desk, or a similar role
• Experience working with ticketing systems
• Basic understanding of networking concepts

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and basic network issues
• Set up, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, and other IT equipment
• Assist with user account management, including password resets and access permissions
• Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in a ticketing system
• Maintain an organized inventory of IT assets, equipment, and supplies
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the IT manager when appropriate
• Assist with routine system maintenance, including software updates and backups
• Troubleshoot basic hardware, peripheral, and connectivity issues
• Provide support with a professional, customer-focused approach
• Perform other duties as assigned
