About The Position

This is a Temp-to-Full-Time IT Support Technician role focused on setting up, configuring, and deploying computer hardware and software, providing first-line helpdesk support, and coordinating with an external Managed Service Provider (MSP). The role involves managing IT assets, assisting with employee onboarding and offboarding, and supporting physical IT infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role
  • Proficiency with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts (IP addressing, Wi-Fi, printers)
  • Experience with computer imaging and deployment tools
  • Strong communication skills and a reliable, professional attitude
  • Ability to work independently on-site with minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • CompTIA A+ certification is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Set up, configure, and deploy computers, printers, and peripherals
  • Provide first-line helpdesk support for staff (hardware, software, connectivity issues)
  • Escalate intermediate and advanced issues to the external MSP/MSSP team and serve as on-site hands for remote diagnosis and resolution
  • Manage IT asset inventory, equipment tracking, and basic documentation
  • Coordinate with the MSP team on scheduled maintenance, patching windows, and hardware replacements
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding setup for new and departing employees
  • Support cabling, hardware moves, and physical infrastructure tasks as directed
  • Carry out additional operational or administrative tasks as assigned by management
