About The Position

The IT Support & Systems Technician provides hands‑on technical support across office, warehouse, and manufacturing environments. This role serves as the first point of contact for IT issues and owns workstation imaging, user onboarding, and asset management. The position works closely with the Information Technology Manager and Network Administrator to ensure reliable IT operations and responsive service delivery. This is a 100% on‑site position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Formal or informal training in Information Technology, computer systems, or related technical areas, including coursework, certifications, self-study, or hands-on experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide first‑level technical support to employees across all departments, including office, warehouse, and manufacturing personnel
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, printers, scanners, and basic networking issues to minimize downtime
  • Respond to help desk tickets and on‑site production‑floor issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Accurately document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions using the help desk ticketing system
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior IT staff as appropriate
  • Own the imaging, configuration, and deployment of desktop and laptop systems
  • Maintain standardized workstation images and deployment procedures
  • Prepare equipment for new hires, replacements, and lifecycle refreshes
  • Coordinate with the Information Technology Manager on updates and improvements to images
  • Own execution of IT onboarding activities
  • Configure user devices, software access, and required peripherals
  • Verify access and system readiness for employees on their first day
  • Coordinate with the Network Administrator as needed for access requiring elevated permissions
  • Maintain accurate inventory of IT hardware and assigned equipment
  • Track asset assignments, lifecycle status, replacements, and dispositions
  • Coordinate equipment staging, reassignment, and refresh activities
  • Assist with audits and reporting related to IT assets and licensing
  • Support office, warehouse, and production‑floor systems including PCs, kiosks, scanners, label printers, and peripherals
  • Assist the Network Administrator with routine infrastructure and system support tasks
  • Identify, document, and report network‑related or system‑wide issues
  • Follow established IT security policies and procedures
  • Assist with patching, updates, and basic security tasks
  • Report potential security incidents, vulnerabilities, or anomalies
  • Follow documented IT standards and procedures
  • Contribute updates to SOPs, user guides, and technical documentation
  • Recommend improvements to workflows, tools, or support processes
