About The Position

This position involves providing IT support to physicians, directors, and hospital staff. Responsibilities include managing Active Directory, DHCP, and Print Management, building and updating workstations, installing and troubleshooting software and hardware, and assisting with workstation moves and setups. The role also requires inspecting hardware in clinics and hospital locations to ensure compliance with IT standards and policies. The IT Support Tech II will also help train new IT Support Technicians and respond to user issues promptly to minimize work impact. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

  • A+ Certification or willingness to receive certification soon after hire
  • Must be very computer literate and capable of learning computer support tasks
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Speak intelligible English
  • Experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook a plus
  • Ability to answer phones and communicate effectively and calmly with physicians, employees, vendors, and other hospital staff in high-stress situations while multitasking to resolve issues
  • Must possess a high level of patience
  • Show a willingness to learn
  • Capable of performing light to medium duty physical tasks
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information with patients, family, peers and medical personnel
  • Must be free of all communicable disease and be up to date on immunizations

  • Associates or Bachelors preferred
  • Hospital experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Answer calls from physicians, directors, and hospital staff
  • Help with training new IT Support Technicians
  • Manage Active Directory, DHCP, Print Management
  • Build new workstations and replace/update workstations
  • Install software and applications and troubleshoot hardware/software issues
  • Assist with workstation moves and new set ups
  • Respond to users in a quick and timely manner to resolve hardware and application issues efficiently so work is minimally impacted
  • Inspect hardware in clinics and hospital locations while not in the IT office to maintain compliance with established IT standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
