About The Position

Our innovative and growing company is searching for experienced candidates for the position of IT Support Specialist. The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing first-line technical support to employees across the organization. This position installs and maintains computer hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and other technology while ensuring employees receive timely assistance with technology issues. The IT Support Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for daily IT support while working closely with the company’s external IT consultant for server administration, cybersecurity, network infrastructure, backups , and other advanced technical services. This position emphasizes customer service, documentation, organization, and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Must currently be eligible to work in the United States of America.
  • Associate degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of desktop support or help desk experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting ability.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end user support for approximately 100 employees including: troubleshooting workstations, install and configure desktop computers and peripherals, set up new employee workstations, support remote workers as needed, assist with account access, resolve peripheral issues, support mobile devices, etc.
  • Maintain inventory of all company technology assets.
  • Image and deploy new computers.
  • Replace failed hardware components.
  • Coordinate warranty repairs.
  • Track equipment assignments.
  • Maintain spare equipment.
  • Assist with purchasing.
  • User account administration: maintain active directory, manage Microsoft 365 licensing, update permissions as directed, and support onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Vendor coordination: primary liaison with external IT consultants, escalate issues requiring server or network expertise, coordinate support requests with vendors, and maintain documentation of support cases.
  • Maintain accurate IT documentation including: network diagrams, workstation configurations, software license records, user guides, and password management.
  • Security support: ensure workstations are updated regularly, monitor antivirus alerts, assist with cybersecurity awareness efforts, report suspicious activity, assist with user account audits.
  • Maintain established quality standards and follow quality procedures.
  • Ensure work area and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition; prescribed safety measures are followed, and established company policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
