About The Position

KYTV is seeking a skilled and customer-centric IT Support Specialist to join our technology team. In this role, you will be the first line of support for our employees, ensuring our hardware, software, and network systems run seamlessly. From troubleshooting day-to-day technical issues to maintaining critical broadcast and business infrastructure, your work will directly empower our teams to deliver high-quality media to the communities we serve.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in an IT helpdesk, desktop support, or technical support specialist role.
• Solid understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems, Active Directory, Office 365, Networking protocols, and virtual servers.
• Willing to work with the engineering department on system deployments and with corporate IT/Engineering on projects. Comfortable with end-user support.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
• Valid Driver's license and good driving record (will be reviewed).
• Ability to be on-call.
• Exercise highest level of discretion when handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, professional technical assistance for hardware, software, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and mobile devices.
• Install, configure, and maintain workstation software, peripherals, virtual servers, network connections, and system backups.
• Onboard new employees by setting up accounts, permissions, and workstation hardware.
• Diagnose and resolve network, printer, and application issues, escalating complex problems to senior engineering teams when necessary.
• Maintain accurate IT inventory records and document technical support guides and procedures.
