About The Position

Gray Media is seeking a Digital Sales Assistant/Coordinator (DSA/DSC) to join our Springfield sales operation. This role serves as the operational backbone for our digital sales department, bridging local station sales leadership (KY3/KSPR) and regional digital operations (GDM). You will coordinate and manage digital campaign workflows from pre-sale through post-launch reconciliation, enforce strict launch timelines and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensure clean tracking and technical attribution, and help sales executives. This role will create display ads, eblasts, social mirror posts, KY3 station Facebook posts, interactive creative ideas, PowerPoint presentations, contest pages with rules, client interface, and GDM set-up, which will translate campaign data into measurable ROI and retention for local businesses.

Requirements

  • 1–3+ years of experience in digital marketing, media operations, advertising agency account coordination, or sales assistant support.
  • Solid working understanding of the digital media ecosystem, including Programmatic Display/Video, OTT/CTV (Streaming TV), Paid Social (Meta Business Manager), Paid Search (Google Ads/SEM), SEO basics, and Targeted Email.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), UTM taxonomy creation, and website tracking pixel implementation.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities; able to manage dozens of simultaneous deadlines, asset specifications, and campaign launches without dropping details.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable collaborating across sales teams, creative departments, corporate operations, and external clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, 3-5+ years in Advertising, Communications, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Pre-employment drug screening and background check required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Meta Business Suite, and Google Local Services Ads.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel formulas, PowerPoint deck preparation) and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with MEs and Sales Leadership during Client Needs Analysis (CNA) discovery phases; assemble category background, research target footprints, and gather case study data.
  • Request inventory availability and custom quotes for complex tactics (e.g., Targeted Email count IDs, SEM forecasts) via GDM regional workflows.
  • Review advertiser assets against strict GDM and station specs (e.g., standard IAB sizes, video aspect ratios, companion banners). Ensure all video assets pass local station Streaming TV encoders and specifications.
  • Coordinate placement of the GDM Pixels or Meta Pixels on client websites for conversion attribution and retargeting (excluding restricted medical/HIPAA setups).
  • Build short, standardized, identifiable UTM parameters for clean Google Analytics 4 (GA4) attribution and client reporting alignment.
  • Define explicit conversion actions on order forms (e.g., "Schedule Consultation," "Get Quote," thank-you pages, button click events).
  • Input precise geographic parameters using DMA, State, County, and specific Zip Code lists (never approximate mile-radii).
  • Collaborate daily with market-dedicated partners including the Regional Sales Specialist (RSS), Regional Sales Director (RSD), and Campaign Support Specialist (CSS) via GDM Engage.
  • Track all orders against GDM launch turnarounds (measured from when complete assets, tracking, and platform access are fully approved).
  • Coordinate urgent turnarounds requiring GM/DOS sign-off.
  • Utilize WideOrbit Digital Internet Lines Manager (DILM) reports and GDM Insights Dashboards weekly to monitor delivery pacing, identify inactive lines, and catch unassigned creative every week before under-delivery occurs.
  • Identify tracking discrepancies between GDM Insights, DSP delivery data, and client-side GA4 analytics (troubleshooting pixel fires, UTM tagging, or conversion path drop-offs).
  • Flag mid-flight under-pacing or creative fatigue, partnering with MEs to submit timely optimization requests and creative refreshes.
  • Pull final delivery metrics, reconcile monthly digital logs against WideOrbit invoicing, and prepare co-op verification invoices as needed.
  • Extract top-line performance data (impressions, CTR, VCR, CPC, geo distribution, conversion events) into presentation-ready recaps that prove campaign ROI and support renewal/upsell conversations.

  • Compliance with applicable state and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment.
