About The Position

The IT Support Specialist will serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues across endpoints, servers, and infrastructure. This role involves troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Windows OS, applications, enterprise endpoints, Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint), and identity/access management (Entra ID / Active Directory). The specialist will perform root cause analysis, implement long-term solutions, and provide both remote and on-site support. Responsibilities also include network and infrastructure management, server and virtualization support, cloud platform administration, cybersecurity enforcement, backup and disaster recovery management, automation, documentation, and project support.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, WiFi, firewalls)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and desktop environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with Virtualization (Hyper-V preferred)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Management
  • Experience with backup and recovery solutions
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
  • 5+ years in IT support, infrastructure, or systems administration
  • Proven experience troubleshooting complex, multi-system issues
  • Experience in hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • High attention to detail and documentation discipline
  • Excellent communication skills (technical and non-technical)
  • Ownership mindset—drives issues to resolution

Responsibilities

  • Serve as escalation point for complex technical issues across endpoints, servers, and infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving Windows OS, applications, and enterprise endpoints
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving Identity and access issues (Entra ID / Active Directory)
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions
  • Provide remote and on-site support across corporate and production environments
  • Troubleshoot and maintain network infrastructure including switches, VLANs, routing, segmentation, wired and wireless networks, and firewall configuration/monitoring
  • Diagnose network performance issues, latency, outages, and connectivity problems
  • Support hybrid infrastructure spanning on-prem systems, data center equipment, and Azure cloud networking
  • Assist in network design improvements and optimization
  • Support and maintain Windows Server and Linux systems
  • Support and maintain Hyper-V virtual environments
  • Perform system provisioning, patching, and lifecycle management
  • Monitor server performance and availability
  • Assist with infrastructure upgrades and migrations
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 tenant (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Administer and support Azure services (compute, networking, identity, RBAC)
  • Administer and support Microsoft Intune (device enrollment, policies, compliance, endpoint security)
  • Troubleshoot identity synchronization and access issues
  • Support conditional access, MFA, and device compliance policies
  • Enforce and support security best practices including endpoint protection, firewall rules, network segmentation, and vulnerability remediation/patching
  • Monitor systems for security threats and anomalies
  • Participate in incident response and remediation efforts
  • Ensure adherence to company security policies and standards
  • Manage and support backup platforms (e.g., Veeam, cloud backups)
  • Perform backup validation and restore testing
  • Support disaster recovery procedures and failover scenarios
  • Ensure data integrity across systems and platforms
  • Develop and maintain scripts (PowerShell preferred) to automate routine tasks
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency
  • Leverage AI tools (including Microsoft Copilot) to enhance IT operations
  • Contribute to system standardization and documentation
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and processes
  • Maintain accurate documentation of troubleshooting steps and resolutions
  • Contribute to internal knowledge base and standard operating procedures
  • Assist with IT projects (ERP, infrastructure upgrades, cloud migration)
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, operations, and leadership teams
  • Provide technical input on system design and architecture decisions
  • Other duties as assigned
