About The Position

Perform routine installations, project management, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all agency IT equipment, including, but not limited to: servers, PCs, telephone systems, copiers, cable, and network equipment as assigned by the CIO. Install/upgrade agency IT infrastructure, hardware, and software as assigned by the CIO.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Computer related field of study
  • 1-3 years’ work experience in IT field
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull/move items up to 50 pounds
  • Must have the ability to travel
  • Must be able to work extended hours as needed
  • Must be able to meet deadlines
  • Valid New York State Driver’s License
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Complete work requirements in the above functional areas, at all facilities operated by The Arc Jefferson-St. Lawrence
  • Recommendation to supervisor regarding preventative maintenance, installation of equipment, equipment purchase and replacement.
  • Review and recommend as appropriate new technologies.
  • Stay on top of industry standards.
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors while purchasing supplies, materials, services, and equipment.
  • Undertake special assignments and other duties as assigned by the CIO.
  • Assist in the development of inventory, materials, supplies, and equipment to accomplish duties.
  • Perform duties as the IT Manager in the event of their absence.
  • Attend and satisfactorily complete all required in-services.
