The IT Support Specialist provides hands-on, on-site technology support for a multi-clinic dental group. This position serves as the boots-on-the-ground IT resource for the organization and works closely with the company's third-party IT support provider to ensure technology needs across all clinics are addressed efficiently and effectively. The third-party IT provider will provide remote monitoring, help desk, and technical support for the clinics. The IT Support Specialist will serve as the local point of contact when issues require on-site assistance, physical troubleshooting, equipment installation, or other hands-on support that cannot be completed remotely. Responsibilities include purchasing and configuring computers and servers, setting up new equipment, installing computers and technology at clinic locations, troubleshooting hardware and connectivity issues, coordinating with the third-party IT provider on open tickets, and providing day-to-day hands-on IT support to clinic team members. The IT Support Specialist will maintain an accurate inventory of computers, servers, networking equipment, and other technology assets. This position will also help coordinate technology projects, equipment replacements, and installations across multiple clinic locations. The ideal candidate is a dependable, hands-on problem solver who enjoys working with technology and is comfortable traveling between multiple clinic locations. The ability to communicate effectively with both clinic team members and the third-party IT provider is essential.
