About The Position

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team of caring professionals. Excellent Benefit Package!! Generous Time Off!! The IT Support Specialist reports directly to the Director of Computer & Data. This role assists in maintaining the agency’s technology infrastructure, resolving hardware and software issues, and supporting ongoing IT projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • 0–2 years of IT support or helpdesk experience.
  • Basic understanding of: – Computer systems and mobile devices – Network basics (Wi-Fi, routers, switches) – Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 – Printers, peripherals, and basic hardware setup
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work across multiple locations (group homes, day program sites, administrative offices)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and support staff with patience and professionalism.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues
  • Assist staff with login issues, email problems, system access, and device setup
  • Maintain and support printers, laptops, desktops, tablets, and phones.
  • Coordinate with external vendors when needed (Internet, phone, software providers)
  • Assist in monitoring the performance of IT systems
  • Help maintain inventory of technology equipment and software licenses
  • Support the rollout of new systems, software, and devices
  • Assist the Director with testing new hardware and software solutions
  • Participate in IT-related projects, including upgrades, installations, and security improvements
  • Support data backups and basic security practices under the Director’s guidance
  • Help document processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
