About The Position

To provide support and training to Credit Union personnel and members in the use of personal computers, online systems, etc. Support IT Department with project implementation and process improvement. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Assists in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of PCs, printers, terminals, etc., coordinating with technical support and vendors as necessary; coordinates with other M.I.S. staff to resolve hardware, software, and network problems. Provides on-going support to all Credit Union staff in the use of end-user hardware and software products. Installs end-user hardware and PC software; ensures Credit Union employees know how to care for and maintain their terminals, printers, and PCs and understand procedures for data backup, network access, etc. Ensures administrative control over the end-user hardware and software assets of the Credit Union, as well as related supplies and accessories, through maintenance of inventories, files, logs, etc. Trains Credit Union staff to use standard PC-based software tools. Provides support to members with the usage of online services. Performs other job related duties as assigned. Support IT Department with project implementation and process improvement. Performance Measurements: Provide support and training to Credit Union personnel in the use of hard and software products. Assist when problems occur with hardware. Maintain inventory of credit Union's hardware and software. Provide informed, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates. Requirements

  • One year to three years of similar or related experience.
  • A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
  • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.
  • Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
  • Knowledge of office automation products, word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail, personal computers, PC operating systems, peripheral equipment, etc.
  • Must be able to work and travel independently and use general office equipment.
