Veranex has an exciting opportunity to join our Information Technology team as an IT Operations Specialist 1 to contribute to the management of day-to-day operations of Veranex systems and software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field and 1 to 3 years of experience in corporate IT system management and support
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and security principles
  • Familiarity with operating systems (i.e., Windows, Linux, macOS) and basic networking concepts
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and perform a wide range of activities
  • Ability to work under challenging deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the performance and status of systems, local networks, and applications.
  • Assist in performing routine maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and backups. Reports any issues or anomalies to senior IT staff for resolution.
  • Provide first-level technical support to employees, helping resolve basic hardware and software issues.
  • Log and track support requests, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff or specialized teams.
  • Assist in managing network devices, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Support the implementation of security measures to protect IT systems and data.
  • Help maintain network documentation and diagrams.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and common issues.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining IT documentation, including user guides and standard operating procedures.
  • Generate basic reports on system performance and incidents.
