About The Position

This role acts as the technical lead for the work shift, providing technical leadership and supervision to Tech 1 and Tech II technicians. The position ensures timely problem resolutions, manages device-centric projects, and provides direct support for networked applications and operational systems. The role involves maintaining operations in an IBM iSeries and Windows environment, independently resolving end-user problems, and maintaining resolutions in the help desk system. The IT Support Services Tech III must also abide by IT asset management inventory policies, demonstrate a willingness to grow as a technologist, and be a self-starter and self-learner. The position requires grasping basic requirements for telecommunications support, VOIP applications, mobile devices, and various line of business applications. In-depth support knowledge of all peripheral devices is also necessary, along with compliance with New Jersey regulatory requirements and promoting positive public relations.

Requirements

  • Five plus years related experience with software applications such as network administration tools, imaging software, Email, and hardware operating systems supporting desktop PCs.
  • Experience as a technical leader and team mentor.
  • Experience with hardware related to the casino industry such as but not limited to Point-of-Sale terminals, kiosks, slot, and key lock systems.
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with printers, PCs, laptops, POS devices and the software and firmware supporting them.
  • Excellent phone and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Experience maintaining users and devices in a Windows domain environment.
  • Network connectivity troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the technical lead for the work shift.
  • Assist with the technical leadership and supervision of Tech 1 and Tech II technicians to resolve problems.
  • Ensures that shift transition is being enforced for open tickets.
  • Ability to demonstrate timely problem resolutions.
  • Assists other technicians with their support tickets.
  • Provide support in the selection, acquisition, implementation and on-going support of personal computer hardware, software, and application systems to provide solutions as necessary to satisfy operational needs.
  • Ability to manage device centric / endpoint projects
  • Provide direct support for networked applications and the operational systems supporting them, to ensure problems are resolved on a timely basis, with minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Maintain operations in an IBM iSeries and Windows environment.
  • Ability to independently resolve problems for end users and properly maintain resolutions in the help desk system.
  • Abides by the IT asset management inventory policies set forth.
  • Proven ability and willingness to grow as a technologist as advances in the field are implemented.
  • Mandatory Self -starter and self-learner and natural technical leader for the team.
  • Must demonstrate ability to grasp basic requirements for telecommunications support, VOIP applications, mobile devices, and applications.
  • Must be willing to learn fundamentals of various line of business applications in order to support business.
  • Has in-depth support knowledge of all peripheral devices through the business.
  • Complies with all New Jersey regulatory requirements.
  • Promotes positive public relations.
