About The Position

Materion is seeking an IT Support / OT Engineer to deliver and support solutions across manufacturing shop-floor (OT) and enterprise (IT) environments. Based in Delta, Utah, the role combines engineering and operational support, with hands-on work involving industrial systems, IT infrastructure, and endpoints. The engineer partners with Infrastructure, Engineering, Maintenance, and Service Desk teams to develop reliable, secure, and supportable OT/IT solutions. Work includes planned projects—requirements, build and testing, and documentation—as well as incident response, troubleshooting, and change execution. Occasional after-hours work for maintenance windows and participation in an on-call rotation are expected. The role includes designing, implementing, and supporting OT systems such as SCADA/HMI, data acquisition, and OPC-UA/MQTT gateways; supporting PLC network connectivity and security-aligned segmentation; and improving reliability, data collection, and visibility across manufacturing cells. The engineer also supports Windows/Linux endpoints and servers, identity and access systems, patching, backup and restore, basic virtualization, and IT/OT hardware. Additional duties include responding to incidents and service requests, maintaining ticket documentation and knowledge resources, participating in change management and on-call operations, and contributing to root cause analysis and incident response.
