About The Position

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is hiring a hands-on Staff OT/IT Support Engineer for its Milpitas site. The role combines management of shop-floor operational technology (OT) infrastructure with site-wide IT support. As the primary on-site technical point of contact, the engineer will help provide reliable, high-performing, secure systems for engineers, technicians, and operations teams while maintaining and scaling the physical network and compute infrastructure used in testing and manufacturing. This is an autonomous, 100%-on-site role in Milpitas, California. It may involve occasional travel, nights, weekends, and on-call work. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely around laboratory or light industrial equipment and hazards, including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage and current, pressure systems, and cryogenics.
