About The Position

Herring Bank is seeking an experienced IT Support Manager to lead our IT support team while providing hands-on technical expertise across the organization. This role is ideal for a strong technical leader who enjoys mentoring others, managing projects, improving processes, and delivering exceptional customer support. You'll work closely with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to oversee daily IT operations, support enterprise technology initiatives, and help shape the future of our IT support organization.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 8 years of enterprise IT experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN networking
  • Strong knowledge of Server administration
  • Strong knowledge of Hardware and software support
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies
  • Strong knowledge of IT troubleshooting and problem resolution
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build relationships across the organization.

Nice To Haves

  • bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the IT Support team, providing coaching, guidance, and performance management.
  • Oversee daily IT support operations and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Manage and support enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure, servers, workstations, and related systems.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify technology needs and implement effective solutions.
  • Lead IT projects from planning through implementation.
  • Develop and improve IT support processes, standards, and documentation.
  • Assist with budgeting, vendor coordination, and technology planning.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
  • Support hardware, software, networking, and system administration activities.
  • Promote a positive customer experience through responsive and professional technical support.
