About The Position

Texell Credit Union, voted the #1 credit union in Central Texas and ranked one of the Best Credit Unions to work for in the nation by American Banker, is looking for a college-level Information Technology Support intern for this coming summer to make a meaningful impact on our business. We offer the opportunity to gain real-world work experience to boost your resume and help you get a leg up in your post-college career search. Interns will earn $20 per hour, plus a $1,500 bonus upon successful completion of the internship program. Texell's Summer Internship Program runs on a set schedule from May 20 through July 30, 2027, working approximately 28 hours per week. Internship dates are established in advance, and applicants should be available for the full program.

Requirements

Have completed at least 70 college credit hours by the start of the internship.
Be enrolled as a full-time student during the Spring 2027 semester (at least 12 credit hours for undergraduate students or 6 credit hours for graduate students).
Be pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
Be available to work approximately 28 hours per week for the full internship period of May 20 through July 30, 2027.

Responsibilities

Completing two projects: Project 1: Assist with workstation refresh. Building out new workstations, performing updates, and migrating users to their new systems. Project 2: Evaluating Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and produce a report on feasibility and cost/benefit to Texell in terms of price, maintenance/labor, and technical infrastructure.
Exposure to the operations of a financial institution by assisting with basic day-to-day IT duties including onboards/offboards, workstation builds, and helpdesk duties.

Support the community by participating in Texell Serves, our employee volunteer and service program.
Give a final presentation to Senior Management documenting your internship and your takeaways from your time at Texell Credit Union.
