About The Position

Yorktown Systems Group is seeking an IT Support Coordinator to join our team. This non-exempt/hourly role serves as the first point of contact for employee technical support and plays a key role in maintaining day-to-day IT operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional (minimum 1 year experience) who enjoys problem-solving, delivering strong customer service, and building foundational skills in Microsoft 365, endpoint management, and enterprise IT environments.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an IT support or help desk environment
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of: Windows operating systems (10/11)
  • Working knowledge of: Microsoft 365 applications
  • Working knowledge of: Basic user account management (Active Directory or Entra ID)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune or device management tools
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID
  • Experience deploying or supporting end-user devices
  • CompTIA A+, Security+, or similar certification (or in progress)
  • Exposure to cloud-based environments (Azure, Microsoft 365)

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 technical support via ticketing system, phone, and in-person support
  • Troubleshoot issues related to: Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 applications, User accounts, access, and MFA
  • Document, track, and resolve support requests in accordance with service expectations
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as needed
  • Deploy and configure user devices using standard provisioning processes
  • Perform device setup, reimaging, and hardware troubleshooting
  • Support lifecycle management activities including replacements and upgrades
  • Maintain accurate inventory of IT equipment and peripherals
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Manage user accounts, group memberships, and license assignments
  • Process access requests in alignment with established procedures
  • Assist with setup and support of company-issued mobile devices
  • Support mobile device enrollment and basic troubleshooting
  • Maintain device inventory records
  • Assist with equipment receiving, tagging, and deployment
  • Perform routine software installations and updates
  • Maintain documentation and contribute to knowledge base resources
  • Support continuous improvement of IT processes and user experience
