About The Position

Kerten Hospitality (KH) is seeking an IT Supervisor to oversee all IT operations across its properties in Egypt. This role involves managing hardware, software, networks, telephony, and guest-facing technology systems. The IT Supervisor will be responsible for developing preventive maintenance schedules, supervising property systems, planning and overseeing IT projects, and ensuring compliance with data protection and cybersecurity standards. The position also includes managing departmental budgets, leading the IT team, collaborating with other departments, maintaining IT asset records, managing vendor relationships, and implementing backup and disaster recovery procedures. A key aspect of the role is administering and supporting hotel systems like PMS, POS, Wi-Fi, CCTV, and access control, while also exploring new technologies to enhance operations and guest experience. Training colleagues on system use and IT best practices is also a responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of IT experience, with at least 2 in a supervisory role within hospitality or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, servers, cybersecurity, and hotel systems such as Opera PMS, Micros/Simphony POS, and interface solutions.
  • Familiarity with data protection requirements and IT compliance standards, including PCI DSS.
  • Budgeting, project management, and vendor management experience.
  • Hands-on leader with problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a strong customer service mindset.
  • Fluent in English and Arabic.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all IT operations including hardware, software, networks, telephony, and guest-facing technology systems.
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for IT equipment and systems to maximise uptime and minimise disruptions.
  • Supervise the day-to-day functioning of property systems, ensuring guest connectivity, data security, and service continuity are always prioritised.
  • Plan and oversee IT projects, system upgrades, and technology installations, including support for pre-openings and renovations.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, cybersecurity, PCI DSS, and company IT policies and standards.
  • Monitor and control departmental budgets, licences, and IT operating costs.
  • Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering technical growth and accountability.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide timely user support and enable seamless guest experiences.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, licences, user access, incidents, and system backups.
  • Partner with suppliers, vendors, and service providers to ensure quality service and cost-effective solutions.
  • Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
  • Administer and support key hotel systems such as PMS, POS, Wi-Fi, CCTV, and access control.
  • Explore and apply new technologies that enhance operational performance and the guest experience.
  • Train and develop colleagues across the property on systems use and IT best practices.
