About The Position

Reporting to the IT Director, the IT Specialist works independently to provide technology support to all employees of Progressive Tractor and Implement.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Excellent ability to analyze data and identify trends.
Strong written, verbal, presentation and communication skills.
Positive attitude, proactive mentality, responsive, and strong work ethic.
Good physical and emotional health.
Must show proof of valid driver’s license and approved Motor Vehicles Record.

Responsibilities

Identifies and recommends the hardware and software needed to satisfy user requirements.
Installs hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives on users' premises.
Provides technical support to users for voice and phone systems, including RingCentral phone systems and virtual voicemail systems.
Loads appropriate software packages such as operating systems, networking components and office applications.
Provides network and server administration and oversight, including monitoring security and backup protocols.
Assists in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet users' requirements.
Provides telephone, in-person and online support to end-users.
Coordinates activities with network services and information systems groups.
Provides updates, status and completion information to manager and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail or in-person communication.
Refers major hardware problems to service personnel for correction.
Connects user to networks and provides initial training in facilities and applications.
Administers email and anti-virus systems.
Coordinates with vendors for needed technology-related services such as printer/copier maintenance.
Assists in research and procurement of computer accessories and supplies.
Lead IT project as requested.
Attend meetings to address and appropriately direct IT related issues.
Responsible for resolving IT problems that may arise and/or obtain outside resources that may be needed.
