About The Position

BB&E is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented IT Specialist to join our team providing technical support to the 341st Civil Engineer Squadron (341 CES) on-site at Malmstrom, AFB, Montana. BB&E is an employee-owned full service civil and environmental engineering and consulting firm, headquartered in Northville, Michigan, which services both the Federal and Industrial sectors throughout the United States. BB&E team members provide Environmental Consulting, Facilities Engineering and Program/Project Management Services to Federal and private sectors.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship and a DoD Secret Clearance is required
• Must comply with DAFMAN 17-1305, to include: Sign Formal Statement for Assigned Cybersecurity Responsibilities, Sign a Privileged User Agreement for every privileged account assigned, Authorize release of DoD approved cyberspace foundational certification data to DoD if used to meet foundational requirements, Fulfill continuing educational requirements of a minimum of 20 hours per year as required by DoDM 8140.03, Report on status of continuing education requirements in manner prescribed by Contracting Officer
• Have and maintain DoD Cyberspace Workforce Framework (DCWF) security requirements per DoD 8140.03 specified for this position
• IT451 Systems Administrator (intermediate) and IT411 Technical Operations Specialist (intermediate).

• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Software: Proficiency using MS Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
• Self-Starter: Highly motivated, with the ability to solve problems and function as a member of a team.
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience.
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Science, or Software Engineering

Responsibilities

• Report on status of continuing education requirements in manner prescribed by Contracting Officer
• Knowledge of DoD and AF computer and network standards, policies, and techniques.
• Knowledge of servers and commercial off the shelf/government off the shelf software to identify corrective or preventative actions to ensure optimum performance.
• Knowledge of facility environment and infrastructure to support computer systems (Information Technology/Operational Technology).
• Skills in troubleshooting, recovering, adjusting, modifying, and improving systems to solve conventional problems and provide support that minimizes interruptions in service to customers.
• Ability to use and maintain a computer system, equipment, and software; analyze computer network, software, and hardware problems and develop effective and economical solutions; and train users on new computer systems.
