About The Position

Provides user technical support and training for a wide range of IT hardware and software, including Desktop, Laptop, Server, Printer, Phone, Voicemail, Smartphone, Radio, Digital Signage, A/V, Point-of-Sales, and Networking for HCC Hawaii offices, regional offices, and shared tenant services. Manages and administers accounts in a web-based management tool, Digital Signage, help desk, and asset management. Assists Corporate IT with deployments, projects, and initiatives. Aids in organizing, maintaining, and physically counting building items and technology hardware. Supports the Business Center office functions, responding to customer inquiries and coordinating with other departments for event-related business center functions. Coordinates and recommends IT and Telecom requirements with Event Managers and clients, completing event orders by configuring and installing IT equipment. Researches new technologies and processes, evaluating technical requirements for hardware/software to ensure efficient and leading-edge opportunities.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, certifications, and relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressively responsible IT support, systems support, help desk, network support, or related technical experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated experience troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, peripheral devices, mobile devices, telecommunications equipment, networking, and common business applications.
  • Working knowledge of Internet technologies, servers, and network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, VLANs, wireless).
  • Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and tracking IT equipment and technology assets.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365; Type 45 wpm; 10 key by touch. Must demonstrate intermediate level knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Ability to prioritize and troubleshoot multiple technical issues in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • Collaborative, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable with multitasking and problem solving in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills who can build strong working relationships with an ability to interface with varied levels of management, peers, and partners across varying teams.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, or combine all three for up to 8 to 10 hours a day.
  • Must be able to lift/carry 30 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Must maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and professional discretion at all times.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of performance in communication at all times. This includes verbal, written, inter-departmental and outside of the department to all levels of employees as well as any person outside of the department and/or organization.
  • Must effectively adapt to a changing environment and department needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provides user technical support and training for Desktop, Laptop, Server, Printer, Phone, Voicemail, Smartphone, Radio, Digital Signage, A/V, Point-of-Sales, Networking, and any IT hardware and software used by HCC Hawaii offices, regional offices and shared tenant services.
  • Manages and administers accounts in a web-based management tool, Digital Signage, help desk and asset management.

  • Assist in organizing, maintaining, and physical counting of building items and technology hardware.
  • Assists with the Business Center office and functions which includes responding to customer inquiries regarding hours, shipping services, printing services, and equipment rentals. Coordinates with other departments on Business Center functions related to an event.
  • Coordinate and recommend with Event Managers and event client for all Event Telecom and IT requirements and deployment. Complete event orders by configuring and installing phones or other IT related equipment based on client orders.
  • Researches on new technologies and processes. Evaluate technical requirements for hardware/software to ensure efficient and leading edge opportunities.
