About The Position

Headquartered in Springfield, Missouri, Sun Solar has been serving communities across Missouri, Illinois, and surrounding markets with high-quality solar installations and energy services. As we continue to evolve, we are seeking an experienced and motivated IT Specialist to support and maintain the technology infrastructure, systems, and business platforms that support our operations, sales teams, and employees. The IT Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining Sun Solar’s technology infrastructure, network environment, cybersecurity practices, and key business systems, including the company’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform. This position serves as a primary internal IT resource, providing technical support to employees, coordinating with technology vendors and service providers, and helping ensure company systems remain secure, reliable, and operational across company locations and remote users.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience in IT support, systems administration, network administration, or a related technology role.
  • Experience supporting technology across multiple locations and remote work environments preferred.
  • Experience with network systems, cybersecurity practices, CRM administration, and business software platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support company IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, workstations, mobile devices, and cloud-based systems.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and support reliable operations across company locations and remote users.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, network architecture, technology assets, and IT processes.
  • Maintain and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
  • Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues and ensure secure access for office and remote users.
  • Maintain cybersecurity measures, including endpoint protection, system updates, patch management, and access controls.
  • Monitor potential security threats and vulnerabilities and coordinate appropriate response as needed.
  • Administer and maintain the company’s CRM platform and other key business systems, including user accounts, permissions, configurations, and system access.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, support integrations, and assist with updates, workflows, enhancements, and configuration changes.
  • Serve as a primary internal resource for CRM and business system needs, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Provide technical support for employee hardware, software, system access, and connectivity needs.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other technology equipment.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including equipment setup, account changes, and system access.
  • Serve as an escalation resource for complex technical issues and help coordinate timely resolution of IT support needs.
  • Coordinate with IT vendors, service providers, and technology partners.
  • Support technology procurement, software licensing and renewals, equipment tracking, and technology upgrades.
  • Assist with implementation of new technology solutions and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, security, and reliability.
  • Support leadership in evaluating technology needs and system improvements as business needs evolve.
