About The Position

Critical Solutions is seeking a Senior IT Specialist to support our federal customer. This role involves performing advanced systems installation, operation, integration, and troubleshooting to maintain optimum Information Technology (IT) system operations. The specialist will also design and oversee upgrades and new installs of IT systems and services, ensuring coordination with Cyber Security Specialists. Key responsibilities include performing Tier III upgrades of networking systems, IT systems, and storage networking, as well as troubleshooting, optimization, and performance management of various IP-related protocols. The role also requires integrating enterprise, regional, and local IT systems, ensuring the sustainment or recovery of current network operations.

Requirements

Active Secret clearance or higher
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field
10+ years of IT experience including Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), and Network Address Translation (NAT).
IAT II certification
Must possess a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification.
Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Must undergo background investigation (BI) and finger printing by the federal agency and successfully pass the preceding to qualify for the position.
US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced systems installation, operation, integration, and troubleshooting in order to maintain optimum Information Technology (IT) system operations.
Design and oversee upgrades and new installs of IT systems and services ensuring coordination with Cyber Security Specialist.
Perform Tier III upgrades of networking systems, IT systems, and storage networking.
Perform Tier III troubleshooting, optimization, and performance management of Internet Protocol (IP), Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and routing protocols.
Integrate enterprise, regional, and local IT systems ensuring current network operations are sustained or oversee their recovery.
