About The Position

Peraton is seeking an IT Project Lead / Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our Federal Strategic Cyber programs. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful development, implementation, schedule, and cost performance of a major program, or multiple programs, through subordinate program/project managers (non-tech), in accordance with the call order requirements and FBI policies, procedures and guidelines. You will serve as the Technical Expert to serve as the official point of contact with Government representatives. This role manages all the teams that comprise the ISaaS program, supports one or more projects or programs, and may manage an operating office and supervise professional and technical contractor personnel performing in their customary disciplines. The position requires maintaining aggressive efforts to achieve objectives, training and supervising contractor team personnel, and being responsible for all phases of the contracted funding. The role involves performing analysis for call order reviews with various software, developing Quality Assurance Programs for all products and services, and being responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring contractor staff. You will assign contractor staff and provide technical direction as necessary to complete tasks, monitor call order, subcontractors, and funding, and prepare forecasts of program financial performance. Additionally, you will develop and deliver required call order, departmental, project and/or financial reports. The role includes assessing risk, identifying business threats, and evaluating system or network security programs to create a security operations strategy while reducing risks to systems and data. You will utilize the NIST Risk Management Framework model to assist and manage information security incidents to minimize risk to systems and data. Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with various government teams to conduct cyber security operations across various branches of government is key. You will also create standard operating procedures in partnerships with government personnel to enhance security operations, improve response capabilities, and to meet compliance requirements, and work with various government departments in deploying best security practices as results of planned cybersecurity assessments on systems and data.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and 12+ years of experience in planning, initiating, and managing Information Technology (IT) projects within the information security field.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated capability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration.
  • Demonstrated experience serving in a supervisory capacity overseeing a large workforce of contractor personnel.
  • Demonstrated experience initiating, supervising, and/or developing project requirements from inception.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance required.
  • The ability to obtain a final TS/SCI security clearance.
