About The Position

The Nash Casino is seeking a motivated and service-oriented IT Specialist II to join our growing IT team. The IT Specialist provides frontline technical support to end users and guests, ensuring the reliability of desktop, mobile, and business systems across the property. This role is the primary point of contact for day-to-day helpdesk tickets and is expected to deliver responsive, professional service in a fast-paced, high-pressure gaming environment.

Requirements

  • Solid troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and common business applications.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop environments.
  • Comfort learning and supporting new tools, applications, and processes.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid New Hampshire gaming license.
  • Must pass required background checks.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., what a VLAN or DNS does) is helpful but not required.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred. In lieu of degree, relevant IT support experience or equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
  • Prior helpdesk, desktop support, or customer-facing technical support experience preferred.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft fundamentals are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for desktop workstations, laptops, printers, peripherals, operating systems, and business applications.
  • Own and resolve day-to-day helpdesk tickets, escalating complex or infrastructure-related issues appropriately.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to team members and guests in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Support Microsoft 365, business applications, and productivity tools.
  • Support VOIP systems, mobile devices, and mobile device management platforms.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain endpoint hardware and software.
  • Maintain asset inventory and assist with lifecycle management.
  • Ensure compliance with all IT, cybersecurity, and gaming regulatory requirements.
  • Document issues, resolutions, and recurring problems clearly and consistently.
  • Assist with maintenance tasks for workstations and shared systems, such as routine reboots and software updates, under the guidance of senior IT staff.
  • Support Point of Sale and gaming systems to help ensure uptime and compliance.
  • Assist with low-voltage cabling, rack and stack, and general infrastructure support as directed.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and on-call rotation.
  • Work with vendors, under guidance, to help troubleshoot and resolve issues.
