About The Position

Ampcus Inc. is a certified global provider of a broad range of Technology and Business consulting services. We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented Team. The IT Sourcing Consultant is needed within the Sourcing and Supplier Management team. The role requires the ability to work independently as the team lead in the development and execution of sourcing strategies for assigned projects, assisting customers in solving IT business problems. This role will lead the sourcing process through creation of solicitation documents, evaluation of proposals, and execution of agreed-upon negotiation strategies with selected suppliers. Responsible for leading evaluation and execution of risk mitigation strategies and establishing solid contracts that are in the long-term best interest of the customer. Manages customer expectations for project deliverables through effective and timely communication. Conducts post-project lessons learned reviews with customers to promote knowledge transfer and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently as the team lead in the development and execution of sourcing strategies for assigned projects.
• Assisting customers in solving IT business problems.
• Lead the sourcing process through creation of solicitation documents, evaluation of proposals, and execution of agreed-upon negotiation strategies with selected suppliers.
• Lead evaluation and execution of risk mitigation strategies and establishing solid contracts that are in the long-term best interest of the customer.
• Manage customer expectations for project deliverables through effective and timely communication.
• Conduct post-project lessons learned reviews with customers to promote knowledge transfer and customer satisfaction.
• Candidate should be close enough to drive to the office if needed for occasional meetings.
• Preference is Richmond area; otherwise no more than a 2-hour drive from Richmond, VA.

• Managing a variety of sourcing projects, including complex information technology contracts from initial request through executed contract.
• Ability to multitask and work with all levels of staff.
