Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, business administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or related professional work experience.
  • 5+ years of related experience in software asset management, IT asset management, or a related IT operations role.
  • Experience maintaining and auditing software inventories in an enterprise environment.
  • Proven experience supporting compliance, audits, and reconciliation of installed software versus entitlements.
  • Strong understanding of software licensing models.
  • Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation.
  • Ability to define, track, and report on metrics related to asset compliance and process effectiveness.
  • Process-oriented mindset with experience implementing and improving operational procedures.
  • Ability to provide training and guidance to IT and business stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • ITIL and/or CITAM certification.
  • 3+ years of Flexera experience.
  • 3+ years of ServiceNow experience.
  • Salesforce licensing and contract experience.
  • Workday licensing and contract experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage best practice standards, processes and measurements that enable the organization to manage the IT software asset portfolio.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the IT software inventory throughout the asset lifecycle.
  • Implement and improve software asset management procedures to meet operational requirements.
  • Input, maintain, update, track, and report on software assets.
  • Audit software assets against the installed base.
  • Provide updates and training to other personnel on processes, tools, and reports.
  • Define metrics, data collection, and reporting on the effectiveness of software asset management processes.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and related processes.
