About The Position

Global Market Foods (GMF) is seeking a Part-Time IT Site Coordinator to join their team. This role is designed for a college student or recent graduate with a strong IT background, particularly in hardware and infrastructure, and a commitment to excellent end-user service. The IT Site Coordinator will serve as the main IT point of contact for the Houston site, responsible for Level 1 help desk support and hardware deployments to ensure efficient office operations. Key areas of expertise include networks, printers, iPads, desktops, and laptops. The role involves managing service requests and tickets, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate escalation.

Requirements

  • Recent college graduates with strong academic backgrounds in IT or related fields are encouraged to apply.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience (internships, co-ops, or previous positions) in IT support, help desk, or network administration preferred.
  • Familiarity with networking solutions is a plus.
  • Experience supporting mobile devices (iPads, laptops, etc.) is highly preferred.
  • Understanding basic cybersecurity practices and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 help desk support for all staff (warehouse and office), addressing issues related to hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Meraki networking equipment, ensuring reliable and secure network operations.
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining cybersecurity protocols to protect company data and systems.
  • Deploy and support warehouse staff with technical issues related to RF guns, Zebra printers, and any other equipment critical to office and warehouse operations.
  • Manage and track IT service requests through a ticketing system, ensuring proper documentation, prioritization, and resolution within established SLAs.
  • Assist in IT-related projects, including network upgrades, hardware rollouts, and other initiatives, from planning through execution.
  • Work closely with other IT teams and departments to ensure alignment and efficiency in service delivery.
