About The Position

The Addison Public Library is seeking a customer-focused Information Technology Services Associate to provide assistance and training to patrons using computers, software applications, and other digital services offered by the library. Along with providing an exceptional patron experience at the Information Technology Services desk, you can assist patrons using makerspace equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • One year of related technical and customer service experience.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Mac computers, web searching and emailing, Microsoft Office and Google Apps, Apple and Android tablets/smartphones, Wi-Fi connection, printing, scanning, photocopying, and can perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Ability to set priorities, make independent decisions, and exercise discretion with patrons and staff.
  • Ability to collaborate with others to help solve complex problems.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college is preferred.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Polish are strongly preferred.
