About The Position

VHB is seeking a Temporary IT Services Specialist for a 10-week assignment to join their Corporate Information Technology team. This role is ideal for a well-organized individual with a strong interest in technology as a career, possessing the ability and desire to learn on the job. The candidate will be an integral part of an open and collaborative team supporting VHB employees across the Eastern Seaboard. This temporary position is based in Watertown, MA, providing on-site support and remote support to other VHB offices. The successful candidate will empower employees with technology products and services to drive digital transformation, aligning with VHB’s company ideals. This 10-week role is perfect for a service-minded individual pursuing a career in technology, requiring passion and curiosity for technology, an appetite to learn, and a willingness to assist where needed.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in Information Technology or Engineering fields with strong PC knowledge and interest in technology
• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge of Windows 11
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office O365
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Self-motivated
• Excellent attention to detail
• Organizational and planning skills
• Interest in learning new technologies
• Ability to prioritize and respond to inquiries in a timely and friendly manner

Responsibilities

• Proactively assist VHB employees with the use of technology
• Configure and deploy PCs to staff
• Provide hardware and software support to all staff
• Identify trends in incoming helpdesk tickets and triage appropriately
• Provide ad hoc training associated with new commercial or custom applications
• Assist other IT staff with engaging projects
