About The Position

InvestorCOM is seeking an IT Operations & Security Lead to oversee the day-to-day execution of IT operations and security processes that support our compliance platform and internal systems. This is a hands-on role responsible for ensuring operational reliability, supporting SOC 2 Type 2 compliance activities, and coordinating the work of IT Operations team members. The role focuses on execution, operational leadership, and continuous improvement, working closely with Engineering leadership and external partners to maintain a secure, stable, and well-managed environment. This role includes direct oversight of IT Operations contributors, helping ensure work is prioritized appropriately, processes are followed consistently, and operational standards are maintained.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in IT operations, technical support, or security-adjacent roles
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure preferred)
  • Experience supporting ticketing systems, monitoring tools, and operational workflows
  • Basic understanding of security concepts and compliance frameworks (SOC 2 exposure is an asset)
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through independently

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar compliance efforts
  • Exposure to vulnerability management or access control processes
  • Experience with automation, scripting, or AI-assisted operational tools
  • Familiarity with Agile or EOS-style operating environments

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including ticket triage, prioritization, and resolution
  • Support and coordinate resolution of Level 1 and Level 2 operational and system issues
  • Monitor system health, alerts, and operational dashboards to proactively identify issues
  • Ensure operational procedures and documentation are maintained and followed
  • Coordinate incident response activities, ensuring issues are properly escalated and tracked
  • Support incident communication, documentation, and post-incident follow-up
  • Help ensure incidents are resolved efficiently and lessons learned are documented
  • Support SOC 2 Type 2 compliance through execution of operational controls, evidence collection, and documentation
  • Assist with access reviews, vulnerability management, and security monitoring activities
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery testing and readiness activities
  • Work with Engineering leadership and external partners to maintain audit readiness
  • Provide day-to-day coordination and guidance for IT Operations team members
  • Help prioritize work, ensure accountability, and support consistent execution of processes
  • Promote operational discipline, strong documentation, and reliable follow-through
  • Support onboarding and knowledge sharing for new team members as needed
  • Support completion of client security questionnaires using established documentation and templates
  • Assist with vendor security reviews and maintain supporting records
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and visibility
  • Support implementation of automation and AI-assisted tools to streamline operational tasks
  • Help improve operational processes, documentation, and workflows over time
