About The Position

York is looking for an IT Lead to oversee the daily operations of the IT department, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of all technology systems. This role provides leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on support to deliver high-quality technical services that enable business operations. The IT Lead supervises technical staff, manages projects, and partners with stakeholders to align technology solutions with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; 5 + years of equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in IT operations, systems administration, or network management.
  • Familiarity of cloud platforms, cybersecurity frameworks, and end-user support environment.
  • Excellent problem solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-starter.
  • US Citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of leadership or team-lead experience preferred.
  • Experience with compliance frameworks (SOX, CMMC, NIST 800-171) is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop IT staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Manage Helpdesk ticket queue.
  • Maintain or improve upon first response and resolution SLAs for said queue.
  • Oversee daily IT operations including network infrastructure, server systems, end-user support, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
  • Manage IT projects from planning to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality expectations are met.
  • Develop and implement IT policies, standards, and procedures to support efficient operations and robust security.
  • Partner with the security department to maintain and enhance cybersecurity posture through monitoring, incident response, and security best practices.
  • Partner with department leaders to evaluate technology needs and recommend solutions that support strategic objectives.
  • Monitor system performance and capacity, performing upgrades and lifecycle maintenance when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, legal, and organizational requirements.
  • Prepare and manage the IT budget, forecasting costs and identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Provide escalation support for complex technical issues.
