About The Position

The IT Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for working with end users of our multiple systems (the J Team!) to solve daily problems and streamline processes using data and technology. This position supports all departments at the J with an emphasis on the Development (Fundraising) Department.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in Salesforce strongly desired
  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, business administration or related field from an accredited college or university; or equivalent experience in corporate or organizational IT is required.
  • Proficiency in pulling lists and working with reports and dashboards required.
  • Analytic mindset.
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) proficiency required.
  • Ability to communicate complicated concepts clearly both verbally and in writing; ability to translate IT concepts for a non-IT audience.
  • Ability to work effectively with managers and system users to analyze and evaluate data and system/process issues and provide recommendations to J leadership and a demonstrated ability to implement desired recommendations.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Growth mindset required; must be open to learning.
  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce Administrator certification preferred.
  • Access proficiency a plus.
  • Conga experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Use NPSP (Nonprofit Success Pack) and work with Finance & Development teams to configure campaigns, opportunities, etc.
  • Create and run reports and lists out of our systems in support of departmental activities (ex: mailing lists, donation reports, monthly campaign reports, event sponsorship donations, pledge reminders, etc.).
  • Perform Salesforce manual loads to the system as needed.
  • Execute Salesforce system administration tasks, i.e., provisioning new users, setting up permissions, resetting passwords.
  • Work with document merge software (Conga) to generate acknowledgement letters for donors and transaction statements for J members.
  • Connect all J systems to optimize communication with donors, members and J audiences.
  • Create and enhance system test plans.
  • Test system as IT user for all system upgrades.
  • Document current Salesforce and Traction Rec set-up procedures to ensure consistency and continuity.
  • Develop and implement overall IT and software-specific orientation and training processes for new and existing employees.
  • Troubleshoot and root cause analysis for team members with all J systems.
  • Create and maintain Formstack for Salesforce (or similar) forms in response to changing agency needs.
  • Serve as third party software point of contact (Classy, Match 360, Upace, etc.)
  • Create new Salesforce solutions as needed for the agency.
  • Research new technology solutions to improve customer and user experiences.
  • Clean database as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
