About The Position

This IT Project Manager role is part of the Information Technology (IT) department, offering flexible scheduling, on-the-job training, and exposure to new and advanced technology in a healthcare setting. Freeman Health System is the only locally owned, not-for-profit health system in the area, focusing on meeting the health and wellness needs of both the community and its employees. Located in Joplin, Missouri, Freeman is a 460-bed, three-hospital system that provides comprehensive healthcare services to over 450,000 people across Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. The system includes Freeman Hospital West, Freeman Hospital East, Freeman Neosho Hospital, Ozark Center (the largest provider of behavioral health services in the area), two urgent care clinics, dozens of physician clinics, and various specialty services.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience successfully managing projects and project requests.

Nice To Haves

• IT management experience preferred but not required.
• PMP preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing assigned IT projects and requests in accordance with project management best practices.
• Oversees all aspects of assigned projects, including establishing deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring project progress.
• Coordinates the efforts of the project team, vendors, and consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.
