About The Position

The IT Project Manager II is responsible for maximizing the value returned from medium to large sized projects. This position focuses on gathering the correct resources to accomplish the project by the targeted deadline while resolving conflicts and balancing available skill sets between projects that may be competing for like and limited resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4 or more years of related experience is preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Provides regular updates to stakeholders, ensuring they are aware of project progress, changes, and potential risks. Actively solicits feedback to address concerns and course-correct as needed.
  • Develops a communication plan to keep geographically dispersed team members informed and aligned with project goals, timelines, and budget constraints. Anticipates potential delays or issues and proactively implements corrective actions to maintain project schedule and budget. Empowers team members to make informed decisions within established guidelines.
  • Manages assigned projects independently, adhering to Plexus PMO methodology. Develops detailed project plans including tasks, milestones, dates, status, resource allocation, risk mitigation, communication, and training plans. Monitors project progress, proactively identifies risks, and implements mitigation strategies. Mentors and guides less senior PMs, business analysts, and project team members in applying PMO practices.
  • Collaborates with team members to identify and eliminate waste in IT processes. Proposes and participates in the implementation of basic lean improvements. Champions lean culture within the team by promoting awareness and encouraging participation in improvement initiatives.
  • All GT team members are responsible for upholding the organization's cybersecurity posture by adhering to security policies and procedures, actively participating in training, protecting data and systems, actively identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, and promptly reporting any suspicious activity or potential security incidents.
