While this position is part of our IT (Information Technology) team, your primary focus will be to partner with individuals and teams across our organization. Your role is to understand the needs of stakeholders, engage digital transformation leaders, and collaboratively determine how to best invest in technology solutions (IT products). You will lead and manage the product lifecycle of solutions, including product vision, roadmaps, and backlog to maximize value for stakeholders. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management within technical and professional customer service.
  • Must have technical experience working with Salesforce.
  • Must have experience engaging with strategic partners and building strong partner relationships.
  • Proficiency in product management tools and software, such as ADO, and Agile methodologies.
  • In-depth understanding of technical and professional customer service required.
  • Proven ability to work with and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Commitment to understanding customer needs and delivering solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment with a focus on iterative product development.
  • The selected individual must be able to travel by air and ground and comply with the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy to begin and maintain employment. This requirement will be verified through a motor vehicle record (MVR) check conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws.
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Identify customer needs, industry trends, and competition through thorough research.
  • Maintain communication and collaborate with stakeholders, including sales leadership, business leaders, customers, and technical teams, to ensure visibility, alignment and informed decision-making.
  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Manage and prioritize the backlog and participate in planning events. Ensuring work is prioritized based on business value, stakeholder needs, and aligned with broader Daktronics objectives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams in the design, development, and launch of new products and features.
  • Leverage the continuous delivery pipeline to release value with higher velocity and predictability.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure smooth product implementation.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve product offerings.
