About The Position

Vensure Employer Solutions is seeking an IT Asset Management Specialist to join their IT team. This role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-growth, dynamic environment. The specialist will be responsible for maintaining and updating the company-wide IT inventory, supporting asset management efforts, and contributing to the reduction of hardware costs. Key responsibilities include tracking software and license agreements, managing renewals, creating purchase orders, and fulfilling request tickets. A strong understanding of IT-related knowledge is essential for supporting end-user needs and ordering appropriate hardware, with the ability to assist in troubleshooting. This is a 100% in-office position located in the Chandler, AZ office. The role involves physical tasks such as packaging and moving hardware (up to 40 lbs) and maintaining storage rooms. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of asset management and work with multiple teams to maintain hardware inventory.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing clear and concise instructions and documentation.
  • Previous experience working with vendors on ordering and creating standardized fulfillment processes.
  • Asset management experience, including refresh cycles and inventory management.
  • Ability to analyze trends and make data-driven recommendations regarding equipment/license usage trends and future needs.
  • Knowledge of and experience with asset management tools.
  • Ability to triage and troubleshoot unfamiliar issues within Asset Management.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand or bend for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds and push/pull carts when necessary.
  • Exceptional customer service skills in person, over the phone, and through electronic communication.
  • Associate degree (A.A.) in relevant technical fields from two-year college or university; or 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and Word.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous knowledge of Manage Engine - Asset Explorer is a plus.
  • Experience with Office 365 is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Compile planned inventory and connectivity reports, as well as other asset reports and records.
  • Utilize record keeping and reporting processes to identify existing assets.
  • Conduct regular audits of maintenance/asset management processes.
  • Request asset numbers for newly purchased assets and track/report on the progress of labeling and tagging assets.
  • Order equipment, including hardware and software licenses, and obtain support from vendors as needed.
  • Manage hardware, software, and vendor lifecycles, including renewals, upgrades, and discount programs.
  • Audit equipment/license usage, including periodic inventory exercises and “true ups”.
  • Facilitate smooth process flows (e.g., new user setup) through standard, documented processes and automated workflows.
  • Create and maintain documentation of all IT Asset Management processes.
  • Perform other duties within the Asset Management and IT roles.
  • Package and move hardware for shipments.
  • Maintain and arrange storage rooms.
  • Track software and license agreements, notify relevant parties of upcoming renewals, and work with accounting for payment updates.
  • Create purchase orders and fulfill request tickets.
  • Assist in troubleshooting to ensure ordering and stocking of appropriate hardware.
