About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic IT PMO to lead our Project Management Office within the Information Technology department. The IT PMO will be responsible for the oversight and governance of all IT projects, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic objectives. This role will involve setting standards for project management, ensuring best practices are followed, and providing leadership and support to project managers across the IT department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years in a PMO leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale IT projects and portfolios, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships across the organization.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is required; ITIL certification is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the IT PMO framework, processes, and tools to support project management across the IT department.
  • Ensure alignment of IT projects with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Establish governance processes to monitor project performance, risk management, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee the portfolio of IT projects, ensuring prioritization based on business needs, resource availability, and risk.
  • Monitor and report on the status of IT projects, including key milestones, deliverables, budget, and timelines.
  • Provide guidance and support to project managers, ensuring consistent application of project management methodologies.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and success criteria.
  • Facilitate communication between IT project teams and business units to ensure project alignment and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Manage expectations and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Continuously improve PMO processes, tools, and templates to enhance project delivery and efficiency.
  • Conduct post-project reviews and capture lessons learned to promote continuous improvement within the PMO.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to IT project management.
  • Promote a high-performance culture within the IT department through effective leadership and team management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
