About The Position

Eagle Hill is actively hiring for a temporary, part-time IT Operations role. As needed, this position will provide additional support to Eagle Hill's internal IT team during periods of increased demand, including new laptop deployments, technology refresh initiatives, and other high-volume IT activities. This is an entry-level role and an excellent opportunity for students and/or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in a corporate IT environment while working alongside an experienced technology team. This position is paid on an hourly basis and all of the work is performed onsite at our office in Arlington, VA. Work schedule will vary based on business need, with periods of higher activity during high-volume laptop deployments. There may also be periods with limited or no scheduled hours.

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future
  • Familiarity with the Windows operating systems and computer hardware
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Aptitude and interest in learning new technologies
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow documented technical procedures
  • Ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed
  • Ability to work onsite during scheduled shifts

Nice To Haves

  • Experience configuring Windows laptops or desktop computers
  • Experience providing technical support through a school, internship, campus IT organization, retail technology role, or similar environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, or endpoint management tools
  • Experience imaging computers or deploying software
  • Experience maintaining IT inventory or asset records
  • Strong interest in pursuing a career in Information Technology

Responsibilities

  • Configure and prepare Windows laptops and other end-user devices for deployment
  • Assist end users with computer setup, account access, password resets, and system logins
  • Provide first-level technical support by troubleshooting basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Install, update, and verify required software and applications
  • Package, ship, receive, and inventory laptops, peripherals, and other technology equipment
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory and equipment records
  • Perform basic device testing and quality assurance prior to deployment
  • Escalate more complex technical issues to senior IT staff as appropriate
  • Follow established IT processes, security standards, and documentation procedures
  • Provide professional customer service while supporting end users
  • Assist with other IT operational and administrative tasks as assigned
