Requirements

  • Completed Computer Science or Technical Education (college, university or similar)
  • Several years of operating experience in production environment
  • Knowledge of various operational system derivatives e.g. Microsoft Windows Server
  • Advanced knowledge MES-to-ERP integration (SAP)
  • Advanced knowledge Writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views
  • Advanced knowledge in the Windows Server, MS SQL environment, Power APPs/Automate Power BI (Dashboard development, DAX, Data modeling)
  • SAP Production Planning (PP)
  • SAP Materials Management (MM)
  • Label generation and printing systems integration
  • Barcode scanners and label printers (Zebra, Honeywell, etc)

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and support MES plant floor related issues
  • Collaborate with IT MES analyst to deliver reliable system performance and continuous improvement.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and create support guides for recurring issues.
  • Participate in MES enhancements, system upgrades, and testing cycles.
  • Champion and maintain an open issues list
  • Basic MES client troubleshooting (connectivity, login issues, data sync)
  • Assist with MES workstation setup and hardware configuration (PC, HMIs)
  • Support shop floor printers, integration, updates and setup with MES
  • Basic configuration and troubleshooting of torque guns
  • Escalate software issues
  • Daily production readiness check before Shift starts
  • Report on MES and plant equipment issues
  • Train users on how to login, and MES screen functions
  • Provide first day support for production associates
  • Collect logs, screenshots, timestamps and user issues to level 2 support
  • Assist MES Analyst with simulation, troubleshooting and MES testing
  • Help systems Admin with plant floor patch tracking, system health checks and hardware status reporting
  • Follow SOPs and checklist provided by Level 2 support during MES upgrades or reconfigurations
  • Perform routine checks on torque guns, prints and scanners
  • Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering teams related to MES issues (torque guns)
  • Assist quality and compliance Teams
  • Escalate unresolved issues related to the production floor
  • Strong communication with operators and line leads
  • Document issues and resolution steps
  • Willingness to work on rotating shifts and support on weekends
  • Eagerness to learn MES processes, manufacturing systems and technical tools
  • Ability to remain calm and focus in a high-pressure production environment
