About The Position

As a CACI Mission & Engineering Support IT Operations Specialist supporting the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC), you will contribute to enabling Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) superiority for the Department of Defense, interagency, and coalition partners. Located at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, the JNWC is the DOD’s Center of Excellence for Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) and PNT capabilities integration. In this pivotal role, you will support the warfighter by providing expert IT operations support to assure and maintain PNT information systems. Your work will directly impact the reliability and efficiency of NAVWAR operations across all domains and military operations.

Requirements

  • Current Interim Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI while working
  • BA/BS technical degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field with 5 years of relevant experience OR HS diploma with 7 years of directly relevant experience.
  • Information Assurance Level Technician experience in a large government consulting environment
  • Must have one of the following IAT Level II Certifications: CompTIA CySA+/CompTIA Security+/EC-Council CND

  • Additional certifications or training equivalent to CompTIA, Security+, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and operating electronic digital computers to process business, scientific, engineering, or other data according to operating instructions.
  • Ensuring that the correct peripheral equipment is utilized, moving switches to clear the system, and operating the equipment.
  • Selecting and loading input and output units with materials.
  • Continuously observing equipment, storage devices, printers, and control panels for operator messages or error indicators.
  • Setting up and running diagnostic tests, reacting appropriately to messages, and reporting errors or machine malfunctions as required.
  • Performing incidental work to machine operations such as maintaining production records, replenishing specified stock items, and distributing output materials.
  • Scheduling and coordinating customer deskside support for the installation of new software or to perform hardware or software break/fix activities.
  • Investigating and resolving all connectivity issues related to end-user, site infrastructure, and IT equipment.
  • Actively participating in construction project planning, providing detailed requirements for facility IT specifications.
  • On-site coordination of break/fix installations with hardware maintenance providers, providing after-hours support when required.
  • Executing and maintaining IT infrastructure inventory information, completing regularly scheduled inventories of all IT cabinets and IT cabinet equipment, updating pictures, drawings, and asset information.
  • Overseeing technical support for end-user devices and hardware (laptops, printers, tablets, mobile devices) and peripherals, software (COTS, GOTS, Web), network infrastructure (routers, switches, etc.), Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), audiovisual display systems, duress alarms, analog, and wireless technologies.
  • Recommending customer service and IT process support enhancements by researching and recommending new technologies and processes.
