About The Position

Under the Director of Information Technology's general direction, the IT Team leads the day-to-day oversees support, support, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise applications, databases, and PC desktop systems. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field or an equivalent mix of training, certification, education, and experience required.
  • Minimum two years professional experience in IT database systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and ability to create and facilitate dynamic presentations.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Five (5) years of systems administration or network engineering experience in an enterprise environment is required.
  • A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required. If a smartphone is not provided by the company, a candidate or employee may be provided a smartphone of the company’s choice, through a payroll deduction program.
  • All employees are required to proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission key gaming license.
  • Maintains a strict level of confidentiality regarding company information.
  • Ability to work on assignments that are complex in nature while exercising sound judgment in problem resolution and actively participates in making recommendations.

  • While performing the duties of the position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, turn, use hands and fingers to grasp, handle, and feel, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.

  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work various hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Must present self in a well-groomed, professional appearance.
  • The employee must be able to lift to 25 pounds.

  • Must be able to maneuver around the office and the facility as needed to collect and distribute all necessary documents.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members.
  • Prior experience in a casino IT environment preferred.
  • Four (4) years’ experience supervising frontline technical support staff preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees, monitors, and supervises an IT Team comprised of Helpdesk Supervisor, AV Engineers, Cyber and Network Administrators, and similar staff.
  • Plan, assign and direct work of the IT Operations Team; schedule shift coverage; evaluate and document performance and recommend disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Monitors team member performance to include but not limited to providing and supervising team members’ personal and professional development, providing mentorship, preparing and conducting evaluations, and delivering recognition and rewards as needed to maximize productivity.
  • Leads by example, modeling SASC values and supporting the culture by treating all employees fairly and applying policies and procedures consistently and in a timely manner.
  • Establishes processes for requesting, prioritizing, and documenting IT Team projects, break-fix activity, and inventory.
  • Institutes preventive maintenance routines and change control processes for assigned systems to ensure optimal operation while minimizing business impact.
  • Review Staff work for accuracy and timely completion of assigned duties.
  • Monitors IT Systems utilization and makes recommendations to ensure optimal operation.
  • Reviews IT Team workflow and recommends ensuring adequate staffing to meet SASC business needs.
  • Ensures compliance of processes, procedures, and staff with all applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • As assigned, participates in the evaluation, selection, and implementation of systems as a project manager or project team member.
  • Coordinates and communicates IT Systems activities with the Director of IT.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
