IT Operations & Digital Innovation Manager

ABO HOLDINGS INCIrvine, CA

About The Position

ABO Plasma is seeking a high-impact Manager of IT Operations & Digital Innovation to serve as the technology and data backbone of their enterprise. This is an Individual Contributor (IC) role with broad organizational influence, working side-by-side with the COO as a thought partner to shape and build the company's technology and digital agenda. The role spans center-level IT management, BI/reporting infrastructure, AI-driven process improvement, and mobile application development. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist energized by co-creating solutions with executive leadership and capable of operating with rigor in a regulated healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related quantitative or technical field
  • 6+ years of experience in IT operations, digital product management, or healthcare technology
  • Hands-on proficiency with BI tools (Power BI or equivalent) and SQL
  • Comfortable building working software end-to-end using modern AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-site IT environments and vendor relationships
  • Experience with system integrations, API-based interfaces, or data pipeline management
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to own multiple workstreams simultaneously without direct reports
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership
  • Must be proficient in English, and where applicable, may require bilingual skills

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience operating donor management or similar clinical/operational systems across a multi-site network in plasma collection, blood banking, or FDA-regulated healthcare environments
  • Proven track record of personally building enterprise BI dashboards and KPI frameworks end-to-end in Power BI (or equivalent); advanced SQL, data modeling, and reporting pipeline automation experience
  • Demonstrated experience deploying AI/ML or automation solutions into production in a regulated environment (e.g., Power Automate, Python, no-code AI platforms, LLM-based tooling) with measurable operational impact
  • Experience scoping, contracting, and managing external development vendors to deliver mobile or web applications on time and on budget — including SOW authoring, acceptance testing, and post-launch operations
  • 8+ years of experience with progressive ownership across IT, BI, or digital product domains — including hands-on build experience, not just oversight
  • Hands-on familiarity with NexSys, NexLynk, or similar donor management platforms

Responsibilities

  • Provide corporate-level oversight of IT operations across all plasma collection centers, including donor management systems and supporting infrastructure.
  • Periodically review system integrations and interface pipelines, coordinating bug resolution and vendor escalations.
  • Ensure system uptime, data integrity, and regulatory compliance across all center-level IT touchpoints.
  • Serve as primary IT liaison between corporate and center-level operations teams.
  • Personally design, build, and maintain enterprise BI dashboards and KPI reporting frameworks end-to-end.
  • Partner with operations leadership and the COO to translate business priorities into actionable, self-service data products.
  • Standardize metric definitions, reporting cadences, and data governance across the center network.
  • Build and maintain automated reporting pipelines to eliminate manual data work and improve operational visibility.
  • Support weekly reporting cadence and executive-level KPI presentations.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pilot AI and automation solutions to improve operational workflows.
  • Maintain a prioritized backlog of AI/automation use cases tied directly to COO strategic priorities.
  • Partner with center operators and corporate teams to surface high-ROI automation opportunities and run quick pilots.
  • Evaluate emerging AI tools and no-code/low-code platforms for rapid deployment.
  • Lead end-to-end product lifecycle for internal mobile and admin applications: requirements gathering, vendor selection and management, launch, and ongoing operations.
  • Translate field-level operational needs into clear product requirements, scopes of work, and acceptance criteria for external development partners.
  • Source, evaluate, and manage external development vendors; own contracts, budgets, timelines, and quality.
  • Gather continuous feedback from center operators and rapidly iterate on user experience and adoption.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety rules.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • Medical, dental, vision
  • 401(k) with company match
