IT Manager

4Creeks, Inc.Visalia, CA
$35 - $45Hybrid

About The Position

4Creeks is seeking a self-starting IT Manager to oversee IT operations and serve as the primary IT contact for all staff. This role requires a high degree of ownership and a proactive approach to driving improvements. Unlike a behind-the-scenes position, the IT Manager will be visible, setting up workstations, troubleshooting hardware in person, deploying conference room systems, and ensuring all offices feel well-supported. While an MSP handles remote support and ticketing (Level 1), the IT Manager's value lies in their presence, approachability, and hands-on involvement. This role reports to the Operations Manager and supports a co-managed IT environment for over 200 staff across multiple locations in California and Denver, CO.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with in-person hardware troubleshooting, resolving issues at the desk and in the field.
  • Experience with computer deployment tools and processes, including imaging, provisioning, and efficient machine setup.
  • Proficiency in identity management, understanding how Entra ID, M365, and on-prem AD work together for user, group, and policy management.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, including mailboxes, licensing, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals sufficient for troubleshooting connectivity and informed discussions with an MSP.
  • Experience with vendor and contract management, including software renewals and license tracking.
  • IT admin or MSP backgrounds are preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • ImmyBot experience is a plus.
  • ConnectWise experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a positive first-day experience for new hires by having equipment ready.
  • Own the relationship with the MSP, setting expectations for remote support execution.
  • Act as the primary contact for key software vendor account managers, tracking contracts, licensing, seat counts, and coordinating renewals.
  • Manage IT equipment inventory, purchasing, and supplies, maintaining current asset tracking and uploading expense receipts.
  • Act as an application champion for enterprise tools (M365, intranet, cloud storage, collaboration software), running training sessions and serving as the go-to resource for software questions.
  • Lead major IT projects with the MSP, including software rollouts, server purchases, new office setups, and security upgrades.
  • Maintain network infrastructure and manage security/accounts (Entra ID, M365, Active Directory).
  • Identify cross-team improvements related to ticketing, software use, and onboarding.
  • Document systems, processes, and resolutions.
