About The Position

This position reports to the Director of Infrastructure and Operations and is responsible for managing the Infrastructure Administration team which is responsible for managing Storage, Virtualization, and Cloud Systems for the School of Medicine IT Office. The IT Manager for Infrastructure Administration ensures compliance with applicable IT Security Policies; Service Level Agreements; health monitoring for managed systems, resource consumption, and other important Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); and ensures managed systems software is installed, configured, and maintained in accordance with best practices. The incumbent will manage a team of six (6) staff members who are responsible for managing VMware virtualization farm (software and hardware); NetApp SAN / NAS storage; and fiber channel switch fabric. The IT Manager will consult and coordinate with peers within the School of Medicine IT organization to deliver high-quality IT solutions in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency with Windows Server and Linux Server Operating Systems.
  • Proficiency with management tools such as Ansible, SCCM, Powershell, and Red Hat Satellite server.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing a team of Systems Administrators supporting Linux and Windows.
  • Ability to work in a team/collaborative environment with a broad range of constituents.
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities
